RED Wants His Own Smartphone ... Holographic

If you know RED

this post won't surprise you, if you do not know is easy to explain, it is the trademark behind large digital cinema cameras that are used today in many of the movies you see, TV series, documentaries etc.

It is not a cheap brand and usually exaggerates the cost of each of its components, they design everything so that each thing by itself is useless without any other accessory and is usually ridiculously expensive. But this aspect of exclusivity added to the quality of the final product has given them a privileged position and now they want to enter the most overpopulated world of the digital market: smartphones.

As you can expect they will not do it with a low-spec for the popup, they do not even reveal the final specs, only more than flashy features. The first thing is a 5.7 "holographic screen, that is, according to them does not require any type of lenses to see in 3D.

The equipment will be called Hydrogen, for what little you can see has a large camera, USB-C connector, 3.5mm jack, connectors similar to the Moto Z to adapt some mod (usual in RED) and aluminum body for which will cost 1195$ and titanium body for 1595$ so it is gentlemen, those are the figures, the RED price style.

The date of it release is faraway, 2018, and the PDF where it explains details rather explains nothing but without doubt will be the device that accompanies filmmakers and that can be connected as a monitor for their cameras.
