iPhone 8 wishlist

As a pure Android enthusiast I have not cared about what iPhone will or should bring new trending setting features to the table. But with the introduction of smartphones like galaxy s8/s8+, LG g6 and Xiaomi Mi Mix things have change for me, now I want to to see more and more manufacturers to adopt the all new edge to edge screen implementation which looks so futuristic.

But what will happen to the always present home button of iPhone as in the last decade it has been an integral part of all generations of the iPhone. And with the introduction of finger print scanner in the button making it touch ID it has become more integral than ever. Some of the solutions which Apple can come up with be like the implementation of of both home button and finger print scanner under the screen but since the technology is very new and so for no manufacturer has implemented this tech in any of the smartphone which available commercially, and keeping in mind the reluctance policy of Apple to avoid implementation of untested technology by other manufactures (barred the pressure sensitive screen in iPhone 6s) it is very unlikely the we will see this happening. Another option which seems more realistic is home button under the screen and touch ID on the back but watching all the lockups came out so far and how accurate these been these days clouds are hovering over the existence of touch ID at all on the new phone.

Finally an option which will see the end to touch ID from the next gerneration of iPhone and instead Apple going to implement some 3D technology in the front facing camera according to some of the latest rumors. The only thing withstanding in the way of this claim is the deep integration of touch ID in the whole ecosystem, but if Apple can make it secure and reliable on par with touch ID, then maybe we can agree on this style of implementation.

Whatever Apple comes with new iPhone on it 10th anniversary, the expectations are very high this time around and I bet we will see one the devices of 2017 which will be contender for phone of the year and beat likes of s8 and note 8.
