Technology taking over the world

This is a really interesting looking device. I really like the idea of physically disconnecting components like radios rather than trusting that you're safe behind a software toggle.

I stopped purchasing phones when they became unable to take off the back, and pull the battery. What an invasion of privacy!

I had my current Note 4 setup for wireless charging, and Samsung wants to display ADS on the phone, as it charges?!
That was the last straw; I pulled the wireless charging coil out of it, and never used it again...

I don't trust apps on phones; they can do anything they like, and user has little or no awareness of what an app is actually doing on their device; they will grant game apps unlimited permissions; they are surprised when their bank account gets cleaned out.
I trust web apps, and little else, on my phone... ;-)

Woow really useful phone, more in this days when privacy is a big problem

Wow this is really cool for some secret industry :)

It looks like one pretty good phone
I've seen similar pig ones where you can turn onboard encryption on but nothing like
I hope you are able to get one @hilarski

Me too, but I had to go on the secondary list.

I think I would be tempted to buy one just for the design.

That things looks awesome!

Ha. What a contrast. A privacy phone looking so good it is actually a show-off!

Looks interesting , Is it going to be available in Canada too?

It should be available everywhere but it will depend on what type of service it operates off of. I imagine it will be GSM not CDMA.

Was just a matter of time. Not surprised at all it's McAfee bringing it to the table.

fantastic news on getting back a little privacy here in u.s. loss of freedom and dealing with daily controls of the boogey guys is a bit trying. keep us posted, ur service is appreciated.

Physical switches? Why hasn't any other phone manufacturer thought about that yet? Oh yeah, its because it isn't your phone. And the owner of the phone doesn't want those switches.

Yes, they stopped making phones that allow you to take the battery out too... on purpose. If the battery is in the phone, it is not off.

would love to have one too..can we take care of it with steem?

These Privacy Phone features are real need of the hour ... truly awesome!

I couldn't agree more! I use vpn and mac address spoofing almost all of the time. I had to turn off spoofing to sign up for Steemit, but otherwise on. I don't trust the gubment one bit!

Really nice technology, the application in this phone will be based on Linux kernel @hilarski73.
Now these days John Macfee is getting into Bitcoins. And Wow That's Decentralized phone.

Great privacy! This is more like sci-fi phone. Spectacular phone.

It'll be useful for many people. Interesting device. Thank you very much dear @hilarski for sharing!

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.

Privacy matters a lot!! I want to have this one

Just wanting to say hello.

phone that everyone should own not apple crap

This is potentially great, but I have questions, such as what os it runs on and what apps it has to start.

The Privacy Phone will run Android, probably close to stock with security rather than UI related enhancements. No word on apps yet.

When did the version come? And if it does not allow to track our search results while we surf and prevent the plethora of ads that appear with our browsing based on our history, it will be great phone and people will be crazy for it. Everybody wants his privacy and does not it to be shared with others.

a great post, upvoted

So interesting. Thak you so much for sharing this information. UP & resteemed

John really is on fire these days. Just recently he made bold claims about BitCoin and now this phone. He really is anti-mainstream. I like that.

I kind of miss the build-in hardware wallet. I would have expected that from him.

Very interesting, I wonder what Operating System it will be running

Whoa, MacAfee maybe crazy, crazy like a fox! This could be HUGE! With everyone from governments to hackers looking to snoop on you what more could you ask for than a legend in the field of security developing a secure phone? I know many young people who don't have computers, but they have smart phones and so this is very much needed. I will absolutely consider this as a second phone to my iPhone, perhaps a business phone.

Looks really cool!

a great device for those who seeks privacy. But the price will kill me off. 😂😂

@hilarski,
Hardware Access Controlling Privacy Phone :O OMG, that would be an awesome invention of the all the time. But one thing that I could not understand is, our all activities can be captured by the Service Providers. I know some personal things can be secured, but it's still vulnerable to check our communication activities.
Anyway that would be a great news for smartphone lovers. And thank you very much for sharing this great information with us!

Cheers~

Yes, and you'll still be located with cell tower triangulation. It isn't perfect, but it solves a lot of the issues.

Looks pretty dope from the Design minimalist and simple

McAfee is great he invites hackers to his phone to figure out how they work

Great post.best information of technology news.
upvote and resteem.

Very nice, Def. want one.
So smart! This guy is going to be a multi-billionaire in the coming years and hopefully he keeps using his influence positively... and to think a short years ago he was on a wild chase for his life through the jungles. Amazing.

Full disclosure: I own a fair amount of stock in his company.

He's right. We do need this, and I expect him to be successful.

I'm a little disappointed us stock owners didn't get first dibs though. LOL

Thanks for reporting on it too!

Another investment in telephony by Mcafee, will this phone find its way into the market? I do not think

He's already taken orders. Why wouldn't it make it into the market?

Hey that sounds like a winner. Everybody's going to want one of those.

Happy to always see your post @ hilarski and technology very extraordinary maybe this could be one of my desire to be able to have it perfect.

I can so see you with that phone @hilarski

how much will it cost?

Very interesting project, I will buy for sure!

Wow... that looks like a really cool device! I really dig the idea of a range of kill switches for various services that otherwise track us. Do we know how much this beast is going to cost?
