I've got an OLD samsung chromebook. Liked it purty much until my eyes got to bad to see the tenny tiney screen.

Thats too bad, sadly most Chromebooks come in small sizes, biggest screens are like 13-inch, not easy to keep on looking at them for hours straight. Have you tried any other model? Maybe try one with 13-inch screen and with retin display, those give off alot of brightness and colors, which is pretty nice.
