I bought the Nokia 3 phone in August
It was a cheap alternative for when my Iphone 5 stopped working ( literally just turned off and didn't work again ) which I bought at one of the 3 mobile network shops for 130 euro.
I was really excited as I remember Nokia to be a good brand ( not phones but bricks as we know them ) and this was one of the first phones that came out in Dublin at the time.
It's a nice little phone, does everything that an Android phone should and there were no issues for the first month that I got it. The camera quality is only 5mp however it was enough to take ok-ish day to day pics.
I downloaded the Zapple app as soon as it came out and have been trying to share more content because of it.
However...
Literally yesterday, I turned on Facebook to look at my messages and the screen just turned off. The battery was full and nothing was out of ordinary. Since august after the first month, the phone malfunctioning a bit , some apps would collapse or some calls would glitch I wouldn't be able to press the off button when on a call.
The phone never fell and it was literally just brand new as I took care of it like a baby. So I could not see the reason of why the phone broke. I tried resetting it by following some steps online like holding the sound buttons ( or just one of the buttons) with the power button for 20 seconds and then just the power button for 50 seconds. Also tried doing the same steps while the phone was on charge. I left it on charge as well for a couple of hours and that did nothing.
So I went back to the 3 mobile store
I wait in-line for about 20 minutes as it was very busy after the St. Stephens day sales and talk to their representative. I tell her the phone just turned off and wouldn't turn on. She told me there is a 2 year manufacture warranty on the phone which means they can only repair it. Which means I can't get any money back.
I only had the phone since August and I didn't want to keep it because it just felt like it was too glitch-y. If I were to repair the phone I had to wait for weeks could be even months she told me because of the busy time of the year. Being left without the phone , they could give me an alternative for 100 euro deposit which I would have to give back in the end when I got my phone.
No way I was gonna do that.
At the moment I am waiting for a friend of mine to get his hands on a more expensive phone for a bit cheaper which he can get for me from some website he usually buys his hardware from and they have some nice deals there.
Phones in 3 mobile were too expensive and I did not trust them after getting no help with my incident.
Conclusion
After I heard some similar stories from other people that got the same phone, even my friend's @condra 's phone only lasted a month before it did that, I do not recommend anyone to buy it . Especially from 3 mobile as you won't get your money back or a replacement for the same amount of cash.
My feelings through the whole experience was frustrating and I will not buy phones from stores again as they are overpriced, for whatever reason dont last long (happened to me 3 times already) and you get no help later on when something bad happens.
E - commerce for the win!!!!
Thank you for reading and let me know if you had any similar experiences with your phones, I would like to avoid a bad phone again !

I couldn't agree more @eriluks on buying your phones online and just inserting a SIM card from the carrier. It's such a better value to not be under any agreement and simply own your own device. Especially considering the customer service often provided at carrier locations can be extremely lacking.
I'd recommend converting your SBD to BTC and use Purse.io to buy a new device from Amazon. You can usually get 20-30% off products by spending BTC there. https://purse.io/?_r=D_X7Rr
Oh wow thats an awesome link!!!! Thank you for letting me know :O
Yeah after my experience I'm just done with buying phones in stores, the frustration and lack of help just literally turned me away from them.
great.... Just I am follow you....
Oh, I loved my Nokia Lumia phones when they still had Windows Phone, still using my Lumia 950 📱 because it has one of the best smartphone cameras out there. A lot of my blog photography is actually done with my Lumia phone ;)
Thanks for the tip! I still have an iPhone though they can be equally frustrating! And, I refuse to update bc I simply can not wrap my mind around how expensive the new X is...arghhhhh! It's amazing how our lives are so wrapped up w these gadgets!
I haven't had too many problems with iPhones, just that my recent one broke recently although it lasted for about a year and a half! And yes I completely agree with both points!!!! ^^
I like it v nice
