One of the most basic and important feature that steemit has is currently missing. Steemit views counter for the Blog posts that you make has been removed. It is really important for the people that write on steemit to know how many times their publication has been viewed by other people. This is a key metrics that can help you to identify if you are writing about something that people are interested in and are reading or not. Currently you have to rely on the number of votes and the comments you get in order to see if things are moving the right way or not.
Knowing how many views your Blog post has received and then seeing the number of votes it got and what is the reward it has generated can tell you if people actually like your publication or not. If you have 100 views, but nobody votes, then probably the topic is apparently popular, but the post might not be well written or there could be some other issue. If you get just like 10 views, but all of them also vote, then the topic might not be that popular, but your article is apparently good so that everyone votes for it.
Today, the view counter on Steemit vanished. I can still see my votes, but I can not tell how many people have had a look at an article I've posted. I'm hoping it's just a temporary glitch and will be resolved.
Let me know in the comments if you have any possible solution for this issue.
