New Generation Mode of Transportation - Hyperloop

Mode of Transportation

In our generation, there are vast choices of transportation that we can choose ranging from land, air or sea and even under the sea but still, it depends where are we going and the mode of transportation that is available in that certain place. Several decades back, the only means of transportation in most of the world was on land and still, they were inventing on how to travel through the air. They based their inventions on how the bird can fly until the Wright brothers came into the scene and the rest is history.

HYPERLOOP.jpg

I just remember the Flintstones Family (comic movie) in stone age era, they got the land transportation and can carry around 6 people.

It has two wheels at both ends like of the heavy equipment compactor wheel and the funny thing is that there is no engine in it. The floor of their car where the driver sits has a hole in it in a way that his feet touches on the ground and there he runs for the car to move.

The Hyperloop

Through the advancement of our technology nowadays, several great minds proposed a new concept of transportation that is safer and faster than most of the vehicle that we have now. It is even faster than most commercial planes. They conceptualized and studied Hyperloop several decades and they come-up with several trials. It was first called as "Vactrain" or simply means Vacuum Tube Train that was designed by a joint team of engineers from Tesla and SpaceX. It was first publicly mentioned in 2012 by Elon Musk. The first alpha concept was first published in 2013 that will be routing from Los Angeles region to San Francisco Bay Area.

Hyperloop is another mode of transportation that carries several passengers same of that on a regular rail train. It is a pressurized capsule tube that runs in a vacuum pod in such a way no air resistance nor friction that will hinder its speed. It is said to be very efficient and runs with its projected top speed of 760 mph or 1,220km/h, this is faster than the most commercial plane that we have now.

This is now the next big thing for Transportation Industry to come-up with the Hyperloop project. There were so many countries eyed to establish hyperloop in their land and its possible to connect several countries with this hyperloop system. Feasibility studies were conducted in several countries such as United States, Mexico, India, United Kingdom, Canada and even UAE and many more added to the list.

BORING tell us something new!!!

That was cool, lol 🤣

Hyperloop, a very fast transport model. With speed exceeding 1000km / jam.
How is the air in it ..? As you are saying, that speed exceeds that of existing commercial aircraft.
I wonder if there will be an air vacuum, even for a moment.
Like an airplane that suddenly vacuum.

The concept is same with that of the airplane in which inside the cabin was pressurized. The only difference is that the airplane travels through air but this hyperloop travels in a vacuumed tube in which no air in it to eliminate even the air pressure and travels in lightning speed.

If so, then the comfort when traveling will be felt. Thank you @elizahfhaye

This is a very nice innovation no doubt.

I fear for some other dangers that may arise as a result of the use of the hyperloop though.

I was thinking loud while reading this article,

  • what if there is an engine ish and we all get stuck
  • what if terrorists and armed robbers use it as a means of boycotting the traditional police check points.

That's one of the biggest problems that they must consider esp terrorism is rampant in our time.

It should be seriously considered.

A means of checking people boarding the hyperloop should be devised.

It is great to have such technology for transportation. The worst thing is that, In Nepal, We still don't have regular trains that carry thousands of passengers and very cheap. We have to depend on either airways or buses. Airways are not cheap and buses is too time consuming for travelling long distances.

I wish we could directly use that Hyperloop Technology.

Nice post with details.

thanks for sharing new technology with us.

I think they already have completed the concept and design of the project, they were just conducting on the feasibility study on certain areas were to implement it

More projects like this (going into other areas) must be put in the hands of people like Elon Musk. That's how we move forward. Brilliant minds that truly know that anything can be achievable.

And I understand the concerns about terrorism exposed here, but we must progress as species. Most inventions are not a problem, the problem is the intention people give to it. And sadly, there are going to be people who will use technology advancement to cause harm.

The intention is good about this project but we cant discount of the criminal minds who will exploit this infrastructure.

760 to 1220 km/h
That is really fast.
And how cool is that. There's no limit to technology.
The cars we own now will probably be crap in the near future.

Faster than most commercial plane since its average speed is just 885km/hr while hyperloop speed can reach up to 1,220km/hr

That's crazy and the name is so cool "Hyperloop"
I'm already a fan

I think it will create that much inertia that a person cant eat or drink in the train coz everything will come out...
Surely i cant..☺

It is pressurized tube like an airplane. You dont feel that you are moving unless you see from the window that everything is moving so fast outside of the vehicle.

But when the whole thing starts to accelerate surely the impulse would jerk everything off till the full speed is achieved..

TransPod's first major project in Canada will be to connect metropolitan areas such as Toronto-Montreal.
I think it will be the fastest moving transport on the land, its concept is really amazing, moving train in vaccum, God, I want to travel in this.

It is said that it will be operational by 2021... hopefully

The CEO Of Transpod said his company’s goal has been to build a Hyperloop track between Toronto and Montreal by 2020.

whoa, thats exciting. hope it will be realize soon :)

If you live in Sydney, Australia like me, you can only hope for such an amazing transportation system! Especially for such a prosperous city, in such a wealthy country, you'd expect more! But not only is transportation expensive, it's also unreliable, inconvenient and takes forever!

Looking forward to the future of transporation. That's gonna be great! Thanks for sharing the future potentials of transport!

Most (if not all) cities in the world have problems on traffic congestion and this hyperloop is the solution. In fact, we can connect countries through this system

Really Very fast and cool

@elizahfhaye, This is the technological age, in my country (Aceh-Indonesia) there is no train as far as that, I am sure it will all be realized all over the world.

Very good information bro

I remember that from awhile back! Finally making history

Great post!
Thanks for tasting the eden!

The hyperloop is a really intriguing concept; hopefully it sees wider adoption and more effective use than trains. (Trains in America don't seem to be as popular or effective as say trains in Japan for people, I think it's mostly for freight).

That said, being in a pod traveling up to 760mph... That might just be a little nauseating unless they find a way to make it comfortable

Geeez it just gets better the more I wake up to new tech. This is very exciting stuff @elizahfhaye..
