That's a useful little app. I'm not here long enough to comment on whether of not a writer's politeness tends to diminish as his rep increases, but I have noticed a few people with a high rep who are less than polite in their answers to comments.

I think the people on Steemit with higher rep are in general really nice and I don't think the same applies as does on Wikipedia, yet.
