I linked to an earlier article about Intel chips and thought that I should have gone to AMD turns out even they aren't safe!

They should have kept it quite until they could fix it.

What do you recommend to do, shut the pc down and never turn it back on?

Don't live in fear. Have a hardware wallet for your money and avoid sensitive activities on your PC until patches are released. Then wait to see if there is a real reduction in performance, and if so buy a new PC.

That'd be the most secure, but even then not fullproof :)

And now I'm lucky that I've got a Ryzen. And own some AMD stocks.
Intel is back to their PR bullshit though, who would have thought.

I just heard about this 10 minutes ago. They better not come after my STEEM power (-:
