That's really cool about the hair stuff. I never would have thought to use it that way, but it's neat that it gave you a usable product. As for the robots... I'm just not sure. I've never been a fan of a lot of the connected devices anyway. Which is funny because I am tech guy, but some things I just like old school. A robot can vacuum for me anytime. I don't think my wife would ever allow it. She wouldn't be able to look at the thing.
It was a fun experiment but I don't think companies have to worry because most people don't have the time or desire to make something like this. I don't really worry too much about the connected devices since our phones track everything we do anyway but I feel like a lot of them aren't all that helpful. I think I probably will get the Gen 2 Optimus though if the price is right. I've learned from owning a Tesla to never by the first generation of any of their products. : )
Yes, that is probably a good point. If we weren't so focused on convenience it might be a different story. That is also a good point about our devices listening in. I actually just wrote a post about that this morning! I think the robot thing would freak me out a bit.
