My experience and introduction to IoT here in uyo....
First things first... A definition of what Internet of Things really is... From wiki..
The Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data.
I got introduced to IoT via a community in campus tagged CAMPUS DEVELOPERS COMMUNITY UNIUYO...
I saw other students who already were practicalizing and making mini-projects with the knowledge they had....
In laymans/plain language IoT enables you to computerize practically any things that has electricity and also remote them...
IoT is very broad and currently one of the biggest things in the global IT world.
In university of uyo... I got to meet a senior colleague in engineering who really inspired me with is one of his projects..
He created a home control system which could switch Off the lights in a house(or wherever) with just a phone call...
Interestly this projects could be applied to water pumps, generators, TV,e.t.c all the command is the same...it's either "0" or "1" to turn on and off..
For those seeing or learning about this for the first time and are interested in going into IoT, here are some tips.....
make up your mind to be diligent
He who is diligent in his business shall stand before kings
acquire training either self taught(go online) or otherwise
what is worth doing is worth training for
Ask plenty of Questions
Take advantage of the Holy Spirit who is your helper...
More post on IoT upcoming...
Thanks for reading and Sharing in my experience...
