RE: Blockchain and the Internet of Things (IOT)

in #technology8 years ago

Interested to see how this affects cars as we know it. Will the government have access to easily turn off a car that is in a high speed chase and what might happen if someone happens to hack a key or use a device to figure out a personal key. With technological advances, we also create a new breed of cyber criminals.

I feel that the security sector for IOT and blockchain technology will be extremely valuable and see that those who can code for a blockchain will be in extreme demand in the near future.

Thanks for a great article @jacor. I'm very interested to see what the future brings. Maybe smart roads that can repair themselves someday :)

Thank you very much @bendjmiller222 . The future holds very interesting things. I think it is a given that the high speed car chase auto swich off will happen in the not too distant future. In South Africa, you cannot get car insurance, without a tracking device. These tracking devices are now also used for remote monitoring of drivers and you get discount on your driving history. It monitors how fast you drive, how fast you break etc. They can even switch off the vehicle when stolen by cutting the fuel supply :)
