Weird argument

I'm in a discussion with a truck driver telling me they shouldnt raise the minimum wage because his job as a truck driver is more important that a job flipping burgers.

His job is more important.

The above picture is a self driving truck that does 120 km and back delivering beer.

He's job security went from twenty years to five, maybe longer if he takes a pay cut.

I don't get people that make themselves out to be more important that others. There's also something.

Sort:

Automated burger flippers are already being produced, with the initialisation of touch screen tellers being the 1st stage. They need to roll it out in stages to reduce public rejection. I get where you are coming from though. There will always be people with chips on their shoulders thinking themselves as the centre of importance

Yeah. What's worse is i and Lorne (that's the guy) live out in the boonies so there's an assumption out here we still live in the 1980's.
Technology moves fast and we're all just on the cusp of going "a computer took my job?"
