ECOSIA SEARCH - plant trees when you search the web
Ecosia Search is a search engine that uses at least 80% of its profits from ad revenue to finance tree planting programs around the world. The Ecosia Browser uses Ecosia Search as its default search engine so you can plant trees while browsing the web. Planting trees is good for the planet, people and the climate. Trees create fertile forests, healthy communities and a strong local economy.

🌳TRANSPARENT & SOCIAL🌳
In keeping with its commitment to transparency, Ecosia publishes all its monthly financial reports and tree planting receipts on its website. (Please note: Payments from our web ad partners can take up to 90 days to process through to our beneficiary.)

Ecosia is a social business and a certified B-Corp, which means we are committed to the maximization of the positive impact we and our users can have on the environment - and not on the maximization of profit.

I love this idea. I hope that these trees are certified organic seedlings and plants. If they are bought in the US, more than likely contain long lasting pesticides called neonicotinoids that last on these plants for 5 -12 years. Rain will not wash off the insecticide. The plants and seeds used in this program must be either 1. native plants that were never treated or 2. USDA Certified Organic or Certified Biodynamic to ensure that these new trees actually help the local eco system. Neonicotinoids weaken the immune systems of honey bees, native bees, butterflies and thousands of other pollinators. I would like to learn more about this information. Thank you for sharing this post.
