Very similar, but no license is needed. Hams really enjoy this development. Sdr dondles rocks. With the outernet its so much cheaper. And you can serve local media that you put on the rpi. Songs, movies, or whatever you want. Just ftp to the server and add stuff to it. Kind of like pirate wifi services... Joy... Plus the awesomeness of outernet.
