With this success, the battle for 2017 is going to be intense and if Samsung drew the first with its Galaxy S8, the surprise comes again from China and is called OnePlus. OnePlus, a subsidiary of the Oppo manufacturer, created the sensation last Wednesday by unveiling the OnePlus 5, a smartphone that has nothing to envy to the market leaders.

On paper, the OnePlus 5 possesses what is done in the best or nearest way. A Super AMOLED Full HD (1920 x 1080), Snapdragon 835 processor, 6 to 8 GB RAM and a 3,300 mAh battery. Its storage space oscillates between 64 and 128 GB, the fingerprint reader and the USB-C port are obviously present and OnePlus has decided to tackle the photo part.

Indeed, the Chinese brand had already accustomed us to propose a complete technical sheet on its previous models (OnePlus 3, 3T ...), but its smartphone could suffer from the comparison with the best concerning the photos. Aware of its potential and the level of competition, OnePlus has hit hard by offering a dual sensor system on its OnePlus 5.

There is a 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f / 1.7 aperture and 20-megapixel sensor (f / 2.0 aperture). The second is a telephoto lens and should allow the OnePlus 5 to offer the famous bokeh effect (background blur). At the front, a 16-megapixel sensor takes its place.

OnePlus no longer hides and intends to compete with the best photophones on the market with such a configuration. The brand seems to look closely at what the competition does and the design of its latest is reminiscent of that of the iPhone 7 Plus.

OnePlus changes its dimension

While Huawei loudly proclaimed its ambition to surpass Apple and then Samsung, OnePlus first endeavored to seduce the high-tech community. By integrating the best components of the moment, the brand has attracted the favors of new technology enthusiasts and has created the expectation with a mode of distribution different from the competition.

Innovative communication that allows OnePlus to offer an almost unbeatable value for money. His latest model is for example offered from 499 euros, a tariff much lower than Apple's iPhone 7 or Samsung Galaxy S8.
