Sleeping Hallucinations

I Have now had two mornings with lucid dreams, or at least dreams where I knew I was dreaming and had to fight to wake up. One being a night terror and another of just random stupid shit I was done experiencing. Of course, I do not want the night terror again because, well, it made me too afraid to sleep because I did not want to go back to that demon realm. The other one, and just wanting to get away from stupid shit (that is really all I remember from it) was different..

Anyhow, I am curious if I can keep recreating this state of lucid dreaming... the problem is I do not know how I did it. My first guess had to do with in-taking half the calories I burned, so today will tell me how true that is as I kinda have an even day. The other trick, perhaps, has been getting close to 14 hours of sleep... which, for the benefit of a lucid dream, might not be worth the time sacrifice (because, let's face it, I want to spend that time writing).

Prolly wondering why I mention this at all... I mostly want to point out that, in experimenting on myself like this, I am basically performing an alchemical experiment. So, yay, alchemy! If I can perfect lucid dreaming for myself, then I open all sorts of doors... because, hey, they made a movie from this shit, yeah?

Quotes of the day:

Stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learn. Work hard, and never give up on your dreams, even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not cliches but real tools you need no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path.

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.

  • Robert Fulghum

The equal right of all citizens to health, education, work, food, security, culture, science, and well being - that is, the same rights we proclaimed when we began our struggle, in addition to those which emerge from our dreams of justice and equality for all inhabitants of our world - is what I wish for all.
