Hello Hivers,
I must admit - I've been away from HIVE for a few months. Looking at my last post, it's been exactly 6 months. The last 6 months have been one hell of a roller coaster, predominantly on a personal level, but work wasn't much better either.
On a personal level, six months ago, we had some family “changes” which needed my full attention. Now stopping and reflecting on the last six months, I am hopeful and positive that we are in a better place. Throughout this journey, we had to make some of those key life decisions. I look forward to what’s next with a positive attitude.
Work has not been much fun either. I feel that we were (are) in a slightly turbulent period, and over the last months, I have seen a number of team members resign from our respective teams. Seeing dear colleagues part ways is always difficult. However, as I continue reflecting and driving the team/company forward, I also look to the future with a positive attitude.
One of my current initiatives on a personal & work level is to simplify my life, taking some of those Zen Habits and applying them. Of course, it’s never easy to use such principles fully, but there are some good practices that am hopeful will help me, my family and my team. After all, looking at my dog Poppy (below), she does have a very simple life. As far as she's got our family around, she's got a ball in sight, and good food, then she's happy. #simples Perhaps a thing or two to learn from that…
Have you applied any Zen Habits to your life? Have you a complicated life? Do you ever feel like life gets too complicated??
Thanks for stopping by... and keep smiling 🙂
