Our away form continues to be better than our home form as we move to six premier league games without defeat for the first time since 1995, to make it an even more amazing feat we have managed to get a draw in the last two with 10 men.
The return of Morgan Gibbs-White from suspension bought back the usual formation after last weeks 4-4-2 and as always we seem to play better football.
Our record against Chelsea since our return to the premier league hasn’t been bad (W1 D2 L1) but pre match it looked like it would be a case of Chelsea putting pressure on our defence and seeing if we could hold out. Cole Palmers form in particular was a cause for concern.
Our new defensive lineup though appears to be up to the job!
After a first half of scrappy football the game kicked into life in the second half with both sides playing good football and a great ball into the box from James Ward Prowse was met by Milenkovic and Wood got the final touch to send the Forest end wild!
The lead lasted about 10 minutes but the game stayed open and pretty end to end until a mistake from Ward-Prowse left him off balance and an instinctive dive on the ball led to his 2nd yellow sending Forest down to 10 men with 12 minutes left on the clock.
The excitement wasn’t finished as a clash between Neco Williams and Cucurella caused a 20 man brawl, and amazing saves from Sanchez and Sels kept the scores level.
Hopefully Gibbs-Whites injury doesn’t keep him out of the England squad and he’s fully fit for Forests next match after the international break.
