"I have observed my mother and my wife. Service is so natural to them, unlike me, their first thoughts are of serving others. Their selfless nature is hard work and a great deal of personal sacrifice." - oh man, that is so true. I was feeling guilty about my wife's 30 years of cooking and shopping for me and our 5 kids. I felt like I was in such debt to her and would never be able to "repay" her for all she has done. She made me feel better by saying some of the things I do compensate, in her mind, like fixing everything around the house, and pulling that gross wad of hair out of the drain that makes it drain slow. Really grosses her out. Well, I don't consider that a fair trade for all she does but hey, I'm glad she's fine with it. Which she is - as long as she doesn't have to do all the dishes :)
