Whenever I have that extra time, I would always try my best to join Steemit events and meetups such as this. The 100 Degrees Initiative was started by @maverickfoo & bitrocker2020 with it's sole purpose to introduce Steemit to the public. Very often the seats are filled up because in the age we live in, many people are looking into new opportunities and uprising technologies that can help them in whatever way possible. And cryptocurrency is one of them.

The venue of the event was in the center of a stunning district

This time round, the 100 Degrees was not only pack, but the venue and refreshments were fully sponsored by Oasis Discovery Centre. It is amazing how many amazing generous individuals there are out there. The event was suppose to start at 7.30PM but many have already arrived half an hour before that and were already beginning to network with each other.

Though refreshments were already provided, you can also opt to purchase a cuppa good coffee just next door and it costs only RM5 (0.5 SBD). The owners who sponsored us have this little coffeehouse next to the event space too.

I didn't managed to have my dinner before I came over because I needed to beat the traffic, so I left my office straight to this place which was like a 40 minutes drive. Thankfully, the refreshments were pretty delicious, sandwiches, chicken pie and coffee.

Then it's @maverickfoo's turn to do his thing. If you've never attend any of his workshops or classes, you should. His jokes never gets old and it certainly does help lighten some of the serious faces around.

After the event ended, we mingled around and was trying to get to know the peeps who came to listen to what is Steemit all about. Got to meet some really interesting people who are involved in the blockchain and cryptoverse so I'm hoping I will be seeing them on Steemit soon.

a potential Steemian, I reminded myself of how much I enjoy doing Steemit. The reason of why I'm still so active on Steemit is because of the community. No doubt I came into Steemit for the incentives, I mean, that was what got me in the first place. But then, it is definitely the community that made everything worthwhile. You build friendships, meet amazing people on here, and you still get to earn.And you all know that #teammalaysia or maybe me personally cannot end the night just like that. My purpose coming on Steemit was to earn a side income and it still is. A pretty good side income I would say and it allows me to blog about what I like. Then I enjoy building genuine friendships here that I know that I can't do without them. I always look forward to meetups as it is my happy place. And then you start to go deeper, learning more about the Steemians you meet. Their life stories, their colours, what ticks them off and what not.

It is because of all these things I still do what I do on Steemit.
