Last Saturday, my saga kaki (we call him BuBu) come to my house to swap the Throttle Body (TB as short) as mine is using a 1.6TB as i'm demodding all the upgraded or add on stuff on my Saga due to want to sold the car in due course (Financially cant cope). So he come with his girlfriends around 11am and during that time still drizzle rain. So we chit chat for few minutes as need to let his car engine compartment to cool down a bit and we start working on dismantle the TB.
It tooks me about 15 min to dismantle mine 1.6TB due to the vacuum hose didn't budge at all and asking my frenz to hold the vacuum hose while i slowly pull the TB. Once out, its the other car turn, It was a bit headache on his car as there's some grounding cable blocking on the hose clamp. Luckily i able to find one long screwdriver so able to slip thru the grounding cable and unscrew the hose clamp. Once the TB out, its time for cleaning.
(Sorry didn't take photo during the process as both ppl hand also dirty).
Here's some comparison for 1.3TB and 1.6TB. The differences of the TB is the 1.6TB the butterfly valve is slight bigger and also the inlet and outlet also slight larger than 1.3TB.
Once the clean up on the TB is done, its time to install back. It took about 30-40mins to install back on both car. After completion, Bubu ask me to help him check on his disk pad as he mention the brake feel abit funky. So i help him to check and notice there's some imbalance on the pad and the disk rotor has scratch mark. Qucikly i advise him to change as soon as possible and he ask me is my regular workshop got stock. So i also go msg my frenz to ask got stock for the car and he said yes. So we arrange to go to the workshop around 4pm due bubu need to meet one of his frenz in KL.
Bubu reach there around 3.40pm and i reach around 4.10pm. Then he discuss the price with the boss and than ok to proceed to change the disk pad (TRW Dtec) and disk rotor (TRW) one short. During taking out the disk pad, suddenly something drop down. The foreman pick it up and c it's part of the disk pad. Omgosh my frenz reaction and he mention that one of his frenz recommend it (the frenz also i know). Here's some photo (forget to take the new disk pad and the rotor, paiseh ah~!)
It took the foreman to completed the job within 40 min including test car. We chit chat a while and we off around 5.00pm. The total damage for the new disk pad and disk rotor is RM300/=.
Thanks for reading~!
