I had dinner at Dolly Dim Sum in the KLCC Suria Mall today. This time I came to try another dish in their menu.
after looking at the menu, I ordered the Plum Sauce chicken. It costs RM31.20 per plate after including the 16% Service tax.
The chicken is covered in special plum sauce stir-fried with red capsicum, and onion, topped with sesame seeds.
I noticed when I ate the chicken, the sauce is not as sour as I expected. I believe the type of plum sauce the Dolly Dim Sum use is a Detroit-style plum sauce
Detroit-style plum sauce is a variation of Chinese-American plum sauce found its origin in most Chinese restaurants in the southeastern Michigan area. It is a watery, sweet, vinegar-based sauce that has a much weaker flavour compared to the traditionally prepared plum sauce.
