10 Types Of Steemians' You'll Find At The Steemit Events

Saturday the 13th, my first, official Steemit meetup. When I first encountered Steemit, knowing it firsthand from @maverickfoo and @bitrocker2020, I've already wanted so badly to attend #Steemfest 2017 but couldn't due to time constraint.

To me, meeting like-minded creators often impresses me but more so, inspired me. Because every Steemian is not only a creator but they're talents. Talents who stumbled upon this platform not by chance, but through their ups and downs, and what you called— a journey.

Their journeys enveloped in their lives until you unfolded it.

And I got the honor to document each of these amazing individuals whom I met during the #MYMEETUP18.

These are the Steemians you'd want at your party and these are the same people you can't go to a party without.

The popular dude who knows everybody at an event

Not only he's well known but he's extremely active in the community (and multiple Discord channels), if you've known him for only a couple of days, chances are you'd known him for a lifetime. @zord189 is one heck of an animator, and he's also one of the talented brains in the #steemit-cartoon community. Have him at an event, and he'll introduce you to the whole network.

 

The cool guys who're either in the music or art scene

You can't go wrong with a rapper @vandigital, coupled with a music producer @djlethalskillz, they'll bring the house down. But they didn't today 'cause there wasn't any spin table (next round maybe?). Then we have @sireh to bring together artists and cartoonist together.

 

The inspiring ladies who not only cook, bake but also paint too

Armed with delicious, easy to make recipes, @francesaw never fails to educate us in the importance and healthier option of home-cooked meals. It's easy to remember Francesaw 'cause she comes in a duo with her beloved hubs, @davidke20. Together they conquer the Steem scene (with their lovely bundle)

You'll also find mama @elizacheng, tucked at one corner, either looking out for her talented Steemian juniors or propagating her next #Steemit juniors agenda. Yes, she's spearheading a legion of Steemian Juniors. Watch out for these kids.

 

The 'If-You-Need-Food-Go-To-Him' guy

You know Steemians are talented, well that's why they have so much to share on the platform, for the community. Sometimes, you'll come across Steemians who not only whipped out cool recipes behind the scenes, but on-the-scene as well. That talent is no other than the owner of Big Hug Burger Cafe, @danielwong, who also accepts STEEM for your purchase. Lest I'm homeless, I'll never run out of unlimited food, powered by STEEM.

 

The people you said 'Hi' to, but never got the chance to talk more 'cause something just distracted you or you've gotta go

@kaerpediem, @littlenewthings, @coloringiship, @branlee87 with their respective superpowers. You'll get a mix of everything from famous Steemian moms, painters, and podcasters. These brainiacs will create all sorts of content to shift your new found interest of audios and visuals, away from boring words. You know you'll need to follow them because their works will ease your mind after a long day of work.

 

The tech team who goes around fixing or installing audio-visuals

You'll likely not find these people in one spot. 'Cause they're everywhere. If you're lucky, you might find them congregating at one corner (Warning: Only Techies). Whether they're filming, capturing your pictures or adjusting sound system with fancy gears, @awesomianist, @kokuryo, @jikey and @aaronleang will ensure your eventful activities are captured in the best, if not perfect angle.

 

The people who oversee the operations from A-Z

If you have a friend who happens to be a charismatic host at the event @karinzdailygrind, you can't go wrong with your day. Usually she's not a lone ranger, and you'll find her alongside her comrades- the community builders (@zord189, @joannewong, @aaronleang, @bitrocker2020, @elizacheng, @maverickfoo and others whose names I might have mentioned already in this post)

 

The makers of all things natural

Remember you'd like going to bazaars to sample all the goodies? Well, instead of driving down to your local bazaar, these Steemians bring the bazaar to you! @natalielo founded a soap making business and makes pleasantly smelling soaps, so when you're too stressed out networking at Steemit events, you can just smell her au-naturel, therapeutic soaps (PS: Natalie makes a cute couple with @crypto3d, a VR animator that'll take you out of this world. If you need some highs, and wanna skip the weeds, you can know more from @crypto3d)

 

The brilliant wordsmiths

Never running out of words, you'll find these near-perfection writers consistently contributing to the Steemit community with their ever-so informative pieces. And sometimes, you know you secretly wanna be @bensimblog and @deanyeong, so you'll get free flow of words and lived happily ever after on Steemit.

 

The friends you knew you'd stick with throughout the event in case all else fails

Then, you can either stick by @jikey, the pro photographer who happens to be off-duty. Instead of carrying his huge a$$ camera on that day, he mingles with another Kelantanese friend, @michael-k, who owns one of the Taiwanese fruit tea franchise at Paradigm mall. The tea is nice so I remembered him (haha!).

Not forgetting the ever so adventurous @carmenraec, who just got back from somewhere on this planet. If you happen to catch her in action, ask her how she got her cute freckles :)

Also, my biological brother, @edmundang who has a keen eye in crypto case studies and takes them as his point of interest.

It's through meetups like this, you truly get to know their stories.

As I'm typing this down, while I could still recall it vividly, I hope that these tales will continue to inspire many others.

By all means, if I missed your names out here, it just means that we're strangers soon to be friends in the next outing (either that or my memory has started failing on me)
