Ever wondered what benefits blogging can do for you ?
Here are my top 3 benefits which are non monetary of course as its normally one of the top reason for everyone here. I'd like to address the more none common reasons.
1) Blogging has its therapeutic values
Twenty years of research indicates expressive writing may enhance physical and psychological well-being
source
Its been known for a long time that by writing about personal experiences, what's in your thoughts and feelings, it has its therapeutic benefits which is mainly a good cure for stress as it becomes an outlet of letting out what's bugging you.
Research shows that apart from just a stress reliever, it also has physiological benefits which improves your memory and also lets you sleep better as well.
2) Builds your network professionally / socially
For most professionals especially soloprenuers , building a business network is really important. Even if its not purely for business, having a medium where you directly engage with your audience / customer does improve credibility of you, your brand and your business overall.
At the end of the day its all about having a great relationship with your customers / clients / other businesses. If your blog content is valuable and helpful, its really effective in things like web authority , SEO rankings and traffic.
3) It builds your self confidence
At the start , its always a hard learning curve where a lot of new bloggers on steemit has almost zero experience in blogging. I'm guilty of that as well. Prior to Steemit, the closest thing to blogging i've ever done was trolling Facebook and sometimes Linkedin and occationally YouTube
I've tried creating YouTube videos however having a consistency was something which I didn't have. Always in my thoughts was what if someone didn;t like this .. or someone didn't like that ... Same thing happened with Steemit. I forced myself to start blogging every single day without worrying too much before posting.
I won't say my blogging is good / great now , but as long as I try , what is there to loose ? Everything starts somewhere and you can only get better from each attempt. By doing that, you'll gain more self confidence as you have overcome your initial fears.
Summary
So don't be ashamed of your blogs as your fans will follow you for who you are. Keep on blogging and challenge yourself to get better each time with results that you can measure for yourself.
I think your blog is right to the point.
Steemians like it.
It brings a plus to the sphere and keep on steemin'
Another benefit is that it helps build proper discipline, which can help us in other aspects of our life.
That's so true ! I love this point
So true. Since I started blogging, i feel more confident.
Haha .. cuz the great part is that you've now got a community which actually reads your views of things. Imagine going to a restaurant which has bad service .. now u can say "jagaaa ... Nanti saya blog psal Ur restaurant !!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am new to Steemit and new to blogging and it has definitely been an experience lol! I find my self stressed about writing since I have never done it before. I think that once I get used to it for a while it will be pretty therapeutic... I hope :)
It is .. that's proven scientifically 😁😁
I can relate @bitrocker2020 .... putting yourself out there for comments/criticism is not easy ..... just so you know when I upvote, it's because I genuinely like it.... and hey the incentive is not too bad haha... Happy New Year!!
Steemit is design to promote great content. Every user has their voting power to enable the author to receive rewards. So yea generically .. we should vote based on good content and articles that we like . Everyone has their own taste
blogging keeps me sane . lol
This post provides excellent reinforcement for the new Steemian - why they want to continue and some tips as well. Just following tags is not an easy way to network. Photography or writing or other specialist groups make it easier to link up with others for development. Thank you for this!!
That's very true ! Some groups are mostly for hobby enthusiast . But really depends on how unique is your work
Great sir..
I love reading your blog.........very useful.........thanks for sharing a blog......@bitrocker2020
wow awesome
Wow.. really feels like dejavu... its true bro.. it builds up the confidence!!!
Thank you so much for motivating us the newbies. I really feel like a shortage of thoughts sometimes but I am working hard to make my blog a real success story.
Blogging is encouraging our self to stay in positive zone that what I feel @bitrocker2020
Yes, nothing to loose here. Others always blogging in fb.......i didn't see people feeling uneasy. Some even menton their private stuff. And you don't even get paid. Haha
Blogging was sometimes being prescribed to a patient who suffers from Major Depressive Disorder. Most of this patient has some kind of problem to profess their own issue so writing is actually a good activity for release.
It's the fear of the unknown that most people fail.
Ex. Making Youtube videos or starting to blog.
There's actually nothing to loose.
I've started making youtube videos from the last year and it's been good so far with 2500 subscribers within a year. (There are some good videos and bad ones I've made)
I can totally relate to these points @bitrocker2020! Never blogged before. After starting to do so here, I notice these changes. Well pointed out!
