My post is referenced correctly. Several other people with PhDs (some of whom currently work in academia) have read my post and confirmed with me that my referencing is fine.

I have read through the post and the referencing used and it seems fine to me. there are a lot of different ways to reference articles and sources. Not sure what the requirements are for this competition but maybe it needs to be much clearer in the competition rules (ie ADA referencing required).

Okay i was just going by the way it was done in your link. I'm not a phd nor am I trying to call you a bad person or wrong. Just a request to make our jobs easier but its up to you. Thanks again!

I do not have my PhD yet, but if you would look at your own post and the link you gave us about how to format a reference, you would notice that you are not actually complying with the very citation method you gave us. I would be perfectly happy with that citation method, by the way, I am merely pointing out that you are not complying with it at present.
