Kid Kenobi and Freestylers have started re-releasing some really awesome breaks in recent months under the "Pirate Jams" moniker, and another Aussie guy that I can't remember his name atm has been releasing some really funky breaks and ghetto funk stuff. I'll see if i can find out what his artist name is and let you know, its really cool shit!

Sweet yeah that'd be cool man, let me know. What sort of stuff do you play? Produce too?

I've only ever produced trance (in 2001-2002) and house (2010-2016), no breaks. Unfortunately lifestyle choices means i don't have time to produce anymore as I'm working full time, studying part time, DJing, photography, and have a family to spend time with. When i do get to play funky breaks and ghetto funk, its along the lines of artists like Father Funk, Jroc, Badboe, Wbbl, Basement Freaks, Tom Drummond, etc).. I actually do a radio show once a month on Soulfinity Radio which is normally house, but last month i did a show with a bunch of these artists. Oh sweet!

Trance was awesome back then, remember the dance floor going nuts when Punk or Children would start mixing in. Digged Hard/German trance too ... Drugface - Cunt Master (Uberdruck and Shredda mixes were HUGE) and proto-hardstyle stuff like Ballanation.

Producing is definitely a mission and a half ... I've tried to get into it again a little lately, but so rusty. Can't even make an off beat bass work any more.

Is that J Roc from Stones Throw or another guy?

Will check out your breaks mix for sure.

I'm honestly not sure where JRoc is from, i've never actually looked into it. lol..

Trance really was awesome back then. I play an old school trance set every year for my birthday, a mix of progressive journey trance, some euro trance, and a few other subgenres. Mostly well known trance tracks.

Oh sweet, thanks for sharing man. Someone showed me a bloke playing Jurgen Vries' The Theme on a pipe board yesterday, that was another epic floor filler!
