Durian XO 

Today I visited a durian stall at Setapak to get my yearly durian fix. When I arrived, the stall only left XO durian. It is sold at RM25 per kg. I choose a small durian that cost me only RM19.

Durian is the edible fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio. It is known as "king of fruits", it is distinctive for its large size, pungent odour, and thorn-covered rind. Its shape ranges from oblong to round, the colour of its husk green to brown, and its flesh pale yellow to red, depending on the species.

Durian XO was named after an alcoholic drink because its pulp has a fermented flavour that makes it almost alcoholic, hence its current name.
