First Semester DONE!

Today I got the grades of my exams and I’m happy to announce that I passed all of them.
It was a tough first half of the year. After I quit my old job, I had to search for a new one, move out of my (almost) luxurious flat to a smaller one and start my studies. Fortunately, I found a job rather quickly and so I could study the whole semester without going broke. The days were long during the semester. When I work, I get up at 04.30 and finish about 12:30. Afterwards I usually had lectures during which I almost fell asleep. At 18:30 the lectures ended, so I could go home, eat and sometimes do some sport activities. In the weekends, I usually studied or wrote some work. The hard work finally paid out, today I got the message that I passed all the exams.
I’m happy that the work paid out. Also, I’m happy that I still like the idea of being a teacher. I must say that I underestimated the amount of preparation for a class. I didn’t expect a class to be thought out that well in terms of pedagogic measures. Having an inside view of the teacher’s job is a whole new experience and I have a lot more respect for the job now.
So far I am on a good road and I will continue this way. Its such a good feeling when you just know that you are building your future, instead of just being manhandled by life or stuck somewhere. Then despite I work much more and earn just a percentage of what I did before and money sometimes is scarce, I am happier now.
