Manalichara tea garden is a tea gardens located in Sylhet district of Bangladesh. It is the oldest tea garden in the subcontinent. The largest and the first ever established tea gardens in the sub-continent of Manikichara Tea Garden, Bangladesh. Lord Hurdon established it on 1500 acres of land in 1849. [1] This tea garden is located at a short distance from Sylhet International Airport.

History

The first tea production started in China in 1650. Tea drinks were one of the 7 works of the country's intellectuals daily life.
