RE: What in the World is Happening in Ukraine

in #tdv3 years ago

My great grandparents ran from Vladivostok from the Soviets down to Harbin China, from there they were able to get to the US, thank God. I studied Russian History for years in the Russian School in SF. What I learned was Ukraine was started by the Vikings, it was named Russe after an area that they left in their homeland. From there the country expanded out to become the total of Russia, but during times of weak Czars the country was taken over by the Mongols and the Tartars, and that was a time of consecutive 300 years....the years that I learned about this I think is what you talk about as being Tartaria..As all situations, the Tartars and Mongols grew weak and thus Russia was able to take their country back with very strong rulers. Thus the years of Peter the Great and Catherine the Great, which Catherine was not even Russian but German. The Russian History is fascinating, but of course the Soviets tried to erase it.......Thanks for the video Max.....
