So many people like tattoos … different persons follow the fashion. I am going to tell you in a nutshell – how long ago they have arisen and what you should be afraid of when applying a tattoo.
In the ancient Greece and Rome slaves and criminals were marked with tattoos. But they tried to get rid of the stamp by any means.
Before that time drawings on the body were common practice among the ancient Slavs. Though they were part of the magic rituals devoted to a fertility cult.
There is also information that in the pre-revolutionary Russia some noblemen marked their children with the family symbols. They were applied on the body in the hidden parts, as a rule - on a hip or an underarm by the use of so-called secret seal. All secret symbols had certain characteristics – for example, the Russian letters were replaced with the Latin ones, the numerals were inverted.
The branding iron was stored in a safe place and the family members didn't show it to anybody, except for a tattoo artist. Not only legitimate heirs were marked with such signs but also bastards if the parents wanted to recognize them. Allegedly, the secret signs allowed these people to confirm their membership of this or that noble clan over time and to have a claim, say, on legacy or family wealth.
In Europe sailors were the first to cover them with tattoos.
Read through the publications on the meaning of hieroglyphs carefully. There were cases when people had tattooed the word "demon" and were dogged by horrible misfortunes.
Dangerous tattoo pictures are the portraits of dead people. Featuring people with a hard lot can attract the same troubles to you. Even if you are fan of Michael Jackson or Marilyn Monroe, resist the temptation "to wear" their photos on your body.
They say that the picture of a RAVEN may lead to death of the tattoo owner. If you don’t want to be dogged by misfortunes, avoid getting a tattoo with the Nefertiti's portrait.
