L’eto Café in London is a restaurant with some great food selections ranging from breakfast / brunch dishes to a fine dining "A La Cart" menu. But their signature attraction has got to be the beautiful and delicious cakes they have on offer!
With a similar passion for the love of food, @susanlo and I often hang out and hunt for some great hidden food venues. Working in Central London during my previous job, I went past L’eto Café a couple of times in the past and always found massively long queues outside covering almost the whole of the shop front. This has got to be something special, I thought to myself. Therefore I took the opportunity, accompanied with @susanlo, to check the place out last week.
There are five branches of L’eto Café in London however we visited the one located in Wardour Street, Soho. We arrived around 8pm in the evening and somehow managed to get seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise. From what I witnessed in the past, I was totally prepared for a long queue and wait time, lol. Guess we got quite lucky!
The front of the shop is small, but filled with beautiful varieties of cakes and pastries!
The cakes were stunning and creatively decorated, I have to say. Everything looked colourful and appetizing, with blooming colours of a spring garden, soft sponge centers with fresh fruits toppings, whipped cream and attractive frostings! All of them looked so wonderful I honestly did not know which one to pick, haha!
The place is well decorated with a festive vibe. I love the wide glass door at the front entrance with colourful spring butterflies patterned all over it. Very dreamy indeed!
We finally opted for the Honey Cake and Green Cake to share. OMG, not only do these cakes look extraordinarily good but the taste was just out of this world! In particularly, the Honey Cake was absolutely gorgeous. So light and creamy, the best I ever had!
L’eto Café also offer a selection of drinks served up in a very creative way including coffee, tea and smoothies. I went for their Magic Violet Tea which consists of blue butterfly pea flower tea, rose syrup and lychee lemon juice. The "real" magic behind this incredible drink is that it actually changes colour from deep blue to bright pink in a matter of seconds. Yes, you heard that right! A mixture of subtle and floral flavours delights every taste bud with each sip. It is the most fun experience I’ve ever had with tea. Simply love it!
@susanlo had a similar tea but the cold variant, similar to a mocktail. Also very enjoyable indeed!
Staff is helpful and positive. The only downside to it all, was that the place does not have enough room between the tables as we were literally sitting right next to other people beside us. A bit awkward with almost no privacy at all.
Yet having said that, the cakes are the best and really unique. I would go back again to try out other yummy cake selections soon! If you are ever in London and fancy a delicious afternoon tea or just a coffee /tea with desserts, this is a fantastic place that would guarantee a memorable experience for all who visit there!

All cakes looks so yummy!..
Cloud you tell me, why the tea can change color? It's so interesting!
I think the trick is adding the rose syrup into the tea, lol.
