Rice is my family's staple food, but there are moments we just crave for noodles and noodles only. For noodles lovers, you will know what I mean. Our number 1 choice will always be this little stall at Restoran Mang Chuan. Why?
Delicious Pork Ball Noodle
Usually, I order the dry type which means it comes with their special soya sauce mixed. You can choose the type of noodles you prefer; kuey teow (flat rice noodle), yellow noodle or rice vermicelli. My favourite is to mix yellow noodle with rice vermicelli. What makes it special is the sausage, which boost up the whole bowl of your noodle. And the amount of minced meat is always generous. Besides, it comes with a bowl of soup with their pork balls and some lettuce. Very yummy! I will let the photos do the talking.
Not to forget to always combo it with your favourite drink and mine will be the fragrant local milk coffee.
Their Menu
Besides pork ball (either in soup or dry), they also sell their signature Chew Zhou Fish Ball Noodle which is their homemade fish ball stuffed with minced meat. If you don't prefer Chew Zhou Fish Ball then you can go for normal fish ball also is made by themselves daily.
That is the main reason this stall is famous - their homemade fish balls.
Each bowl of noodle costs RM6 (1.45 USD), very good price. And they open early in the morning at 7:15am, hence a famous place for elderly and young working adults to have their breakfast before they go to work using the nearby LRT.
Restoran Mang Chuang has other stalls too which I will cover another day. But pork ball noodle dry type is one of my favourite there!!!
The arrow in the photo shows where the tiny stall is at Restoran Mang Chuang.
.
Most of them ordered from the same stall.
Overlooking the sky horizon from where I am sitting, you can see the train passing by.
This may not be the fancy place with air-conditioned, but super economical and really just good enough if you want to fill your stomach with good food.
