Tarot card for August 22: Page of Pentacles

in #tarot6 years ago (edited)

The Page of Pentacles today calls for action in the business/financial part of your life. The gallant young chap in the picture looks upwards and forwards - to the future, with a clearly optimistic bent. This is your invitation to create abundance for yourself.

However, when we read the tarot it speaks differently every time. We may see a symbol for the first time, or one may become more prominent. What's important today is that you ask yourself what is abundance for you? What creates that sense of wealth? Is it money? Possessions? Or is it another type of wealth altogether - the wealth of friendships, for example? Although the Pentacles are primarily associated with materialism, today's energy asks you to reassess your priorities, or at least to examine them.

And with that in mind, having decided what it is you want to create, the pentacles kick in: how will you create that? what is the mechanism for bringing that thought into reality? One thought that he card impacted in me today was to use sigils, as what is the youth doing but staring at - or through - a sigil?

If anyone would like, I can create a post, or sequence of posts, on manifesting with Chaos Magick sigils. Let me know and I'll see what I can do if there is interest!

Exciting times ahead!

It is interesting, perhaps, to compare and contrast the Rider Waite with the Morgan Greer image for this card:

Here the emphasis is on the act of looking to the future: he's not looking at, or through, the coin but above it, as if placing his intent in his future timeline. The mountains/hills in the background are fairly distant and not to jagged or prominent - his emphasis is on this World, not the Higher Self or intuition. Perhaps some balance is needed there? Again,. it was a symbol that sprang out at me: in the Morgan Greer image, there are three descending arrows on the person's sleeve, indicating exactly where his energy is. Let's get out energy off the floor and into creation mode!
