Unforgettable

in #tale7 years ago

Once upon a time, there was a smart young man, who -although quiet- always made his girlfriend laugh. When they finished up studying, they spent a lot of time together taking their dog for a walk, and whenever they could, they enjoyed every opportunity together. One always accompanied the other to do whatever task their parents asked them to do.

As in the city where they lived things were not going well, her parents decided to move to another country, and it was unlikely that they would see each other again in a long time. In the attic, he found a printer that nobody used, in addition, there were several liters of ink and many reams of a special paper that his grandfather received, and forgot, a few years ago. Since he liked coins a lot, he decided to print a million bills with a beautiful photo of his girlfriend on one side, and a picture of his dog on the other. He did not want anyone to think he was faking bills, and that was why he printed some very different to any other bills that had ever existed: They were of great quality, very well designed, numbered and impossible to copy, and in addition, each of the tickets, was registered in his blog, along with lots of photos and memories of her, him and his dog.

Very happy with what he had achieved, he gave - as a gift - a package of one hundred bills to each of the friends they had met in every place where he and his girlfriend always went. So, every teacher in every room of the school where they had studied, the baker, the maid of the store, the ice cream boy, the shoemaker, the lady who sold cupcakes, and even the grumpy Chinese who processed the debit card in that shop, everyone received their gift bills. Soon the voice of the beautiful gesture was spread, and as he had printed so many, he could give a package to each person who asked for them: classmates, neighbors, friends and friends of their friends. They in turn gave away many of the tickets they received and after a few months, almost everyone in the city had at least one bill kept in a drawer or put a book. In total, he gave away eight thousand packs of one hundred bills each, and for some reason, he kept two thousand packs in a drawer in his room.

She went with her parents to live in another country, and he went to university in another city. After a time, not only in the city where they lived, but throughout the country they lived, it happened that the real bills began to run short. The points of sale did not work. People had to make huge queues to get small amounts of money from banks and because the Internet was very slow, transfers simply could not be made. People began to despair, and suddenly, someone remembered the souvenir tickets and decided to pay a cupcake with one of them. The lady at the store accepted it, and in a short time, everyone was buying, selling and paying for all kinds of goods and services with those bills, which little by little and step by step, were acquiring more and more, and more value.

Other boys, several businessmen, and even the mayor of another city, amazed by the success of the initiative, announced that they were going to print their own tickets, some with special characteristics, and others, simply bad copies of the first ones.

A whole industry was generated with the new banknotes and a new economy began to grow around them, but the first of all remained as an unforgettable reference of the success of a young boy's creativity.

It's said that he took his private jet and finally found his girlfriend, and when they are not skiing or diving, watch the sunset together on a beautiful island that they bought, near Florida.

Note. In order to avoid any confusion, a great friend suggested me to add this comment:
"As the Twitter 280 characters are not enough to explain a subject as complicated as the creation of a cryptocurrency from which we could obtain benefits for the organization of a real opposition, I found a simpler way to explain it"

Obviously, I can't upvote you but good story. The irony, though, is that you have those feelings about cryptos and are venting it out on a crypto platform. :)

Nice writing. Why don't you try your hands on some contests? Here is an article I had written some time back. Try those contests, if you feel like.
