Brilliant idea, @htooms. It's crazy to see just how starved for a real community many of us are. I know I am. The world of Twitter and Facetubes is not about community. It's about conformity.

I can barely stand to look at either platform anymore. And screw Reddit. I never understood that place.

I've spent my entire adult life on the internet (I'm nearly 50) and this is the first place I've been to that actually has people engaged in each other's work.

There is a direct feedback to your work. A blogging platform that isn't trying to stifle creativity with rules and little lords managing their fiefdoms (reddit) or creating a safe space for certain types of politics.

And the system rewards you for your time. For everything you do. And because of that I know I'm out looking for people to follow, read and promote.

I never felt that way on Twitter, Facebook or even Usenet in the Before Time
