One thing that's really nice about these sort of metafictional things is that it lets you break free of being self-conscious about genre. A lot of people nowadays really either expect you to go all-in on the genre-blending or have none at all, but since you've got basically five settings with their batches of inspirations all coming together you can blend or stay separated as much as you want.
