Swiss lakes / beauty and the beast

Even though we have been living in Switzerland for close to three years now I have come to the conclusion that I have not seen enough of this amazing country.

So after visiting beauty and the beast yesterday in the OpenAir stage in Walenstadt next to the Walensee we went more east today and visited the Caumasee which is a lake more in the East of Switzerland.

It is located next to the small quaint town called Flims. If you have the time and are in the neighbourhood then this really is worth a visit. You can park in the center and from there its about 150 m walk (10 minutes) to the lift or you can add another 10 minutes and walk down. The lake itself is not really big but its has the most amazing tints of blue. There are no obvious sources of water and apparently it is fed by hard to find underground sources.

So now I will just give you some of the pictures from the musical and the most remarkable thing is that the backdrop from the pictures is not fake, that is the actual lake and mountain behind the stage. The music and the singing really quite good but the scene made it a thousand times better.
