CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

Okay, it’s Monday but who said Mondays have to suck?
Fade the Monday blues with this perfect chocolate mousse which is totally forgiving!! It has no white sugar… It’s 💯% vegan and guess what? It’s high in protein and anti-oxidents! 💕
Indulge in perfect chocolate mousse and say bye bye to Monday Blues. 🍫🍓

Ingredients:
150gm Dark chocolate (I am using Amul Bitter Chocolate)
300gm silken or soft Tofu
1/4 cup Coconut sugar
A pinch of Salt

Procedure:

  1. Chop the chocolate bar roughly and set it in a heat proof bowl.
  2. Bring water to boil in a saucepan. Place the bowl of chocolate over the saucepan to melt the chocolate. (The boiling water shouldn’t touch the base of the bowl)
  3. While the chocolate is melting, put tofu, a pinch of salt and coconut sugar in a blender. Blend till smooth.
  4. Check if the chocolate has melted completely with a spatula. If it has, pour the tofu purée and mix well untill tofu and melted chocolate have incorporated well.
  5. Pour into the serving bowls. Allow it to set in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.
    Garnish with strawberries or any fruits or nuts of your choice. 🍓🍒🥝

*Note:

  1. You can add vanilla extract or any fruit extract to flavour the mousse.
  2. You can serve the mousse chilled as well as hot.
  3. Top the mousse with some sweetened whipped cream if you like.
