Bishop Weed,Ground Elder flower with some leafes
Exactly like the comfrey, simply chew a leave a few seconds or press and rubb it between your fingers and but it on the insect bite or so on! It is always better if you find the Bishop Weed,Ground Elder like in the first picture, because many other plants having simillar looking flowers! Also really really effective for other things like broken bones, sprains, tension, arthrosis! Absolutely ok for internal application like a nice tea with honey!
Number Three: Garlic and Onions
red onion, onion, garlic like we know it from the supermarket
In this case garlic is doing a much better job like onions, but onions are also ok! Simply open them and put it on the insect bite!
Closing Words:
I personally like the first two plants more like onions and garlic because i dont like the smell so much and after the world, banks, supermarkets etc are closed its way easier to find them like garlic and onions!
Thanks for reading Steemians!
how does Comfrey flowers work on broken bones, sprains? Is it for pain? I called my local plant shop and they don't carry it. I guess I'll have to find it online.
I will try your advices, in this year insect in Poland l are plague.
Nice post. I didn't know about these herbs. I've learned for preventive maintenance that you can take Calendula officinalis (Marigold) tincture or brew tea to keep mosquitoes away. Apparently Calendula Flower has pungent smell that naturally repels mosquitoes. You could also probably rub the plant on your skin as well. I take the tincture weekly. No one has yet told me I smell :) so I think it's worth a shot. As always, do your own research on herbal remedies. I am not a doctor.
sounds really cool, i have to do some research, thanks!
Good post, witty and amusing.....and some good tips. I'd say most people can find these plants around.Handy to grow some in a corner of your garden. I do.

Girlfriend just had a nasty mosquito bite on her eyelid the other day and now it is infected and the size of a balloon, poor girl.
We've got it under control now, but fast acting with some local herb to hand is great knowledge.
at first: thanks! u can still, ur girlfriend will thank u it will heal much faster! :)
Something weird about the mosquitoes here this year. They are savage, draw blood and have caused a lot of bad reactions in other people too. Vampire mosquitoes!
my apartment is free of them, i smoke mugwort with hash the whole day, they really hate the mugwurt smoke!
tomorrow I will be out mugwort hunting. hope it grows down here in the algarve
the old greeks and romans smoked it alot, its nearly the same climate, i think you will be lucky! ;)
good point. I shall ask a local.
This is great thanks
I needed something on insect bites, thank you. The normal repellent isn't doing the trick anymore with these hungry mosquitoes in the Middle East.

There are so many natural remedies out there. It's sad that we are so dependent on the pharmaceutical companies to keep us healthy. If we just went back to eating food straight out of the garden that would eliminate so many diseases.
yes your are right, it will. pay attention u grow old vegetable plants, not the new ones from monsanto etc, these vegatables(even from your garden) are not god for your DNA and health!
This is a really good post and I'm always on the look out for natural remedies for insect bites. Thanks for this. Upvoted
thank you very much, much more like this is coming soon!
Looking forward to it Herbs! :-)
Thank you for this article @herbs420. With summer starting here, we're about to start spending a whole lot more time outside. I'm definitely more fond of using natural remedies than I am using chemicals treatments. Bookmarked your advice, thanks!
