Aloha community!

Who speaks here is Gabriel Santos, I'm a surfer and Oceanographer who loves the joy and complexity of the Ocean.

Since the first time I got a wave in my backyard I felt that connection with the Ocean which only a surfer knows. Is this connection that I belive holds the surf culture.

It's in and beyond the humanity... it's like something that fill in all universe.

I say this because if you think: How are waves formed by storms in the middle of the ocean? How does the exchange between momentum and energy, between atmosphere, ocean and land? All that energy propagates, even when it breaks in a way that will never happen again. All this connects when a surfer catches a wave and vibrates good things for the world.

People, dolphins, whales, turtles, fish and other marine animals are surfers. We are all surfing the wave of life that came from the Ocean.

We all are surfing the wave of life that came from the Ocean. May be the Ocean Culture is a reflex of the Ocean Spirit.

Since when we got onboarded by 🙋‍♂ @luizhadad and @surflimpo in #SurfHive

we stayed so stoked to contribute to Ocean Culture through web3.🏄‍♀

Thinking about that I've worked on a serie of digital art inspired by the Ocean and the dangers that it is facing right in the Ocean decade.

This subject is so important because we realize the Ocean is big but it isn't enough for human race society that keeps extracting and polluting natural resources like there's no tomorrow.

So the energy and material that we put in to cause positive impacts to the environment are essencial to this decade.

We must do a lot to revert the climate change or Ocean pollution but every atitude and idea still a very powerful way to change the world for the good. In this sense, the decentralization of resources and means of change has to be further explored and disseminated.

As part of #PreciousPlastic community we see the open source way of thinking and socioenvironmental education we can face stronger the plastic pollution of the ocean.

The upcycling is a way to explore the circular economy and to use the materials that are already available. Using creativity and some machines we can turn the plastic waste in something valuable and precious to some one that cares about it.

Aloha Comunidade !

Aqui quem fala é o Gabriel Santos, surfista e Oceanógrafo que adora aproveitar a paz e a complexidade do Oceano.

Desde a primeira vez que peguei uma onda no quintal de casa foi aí que senti aquela ligação com o Oceano que só um surfista conhece. É essa conexão que acredito sustentar a cultura do surf.

Está dentro e além da humanidade... é como algo que preenche todo o universo.

Digo isso por que se você pensar: Como as ondas são formadas pelas tempestades no meio do oceano? Como acontece a troca entre momento e energia, entre atmosfera, Oceano e terra? Toda essa energia se propaga, até mesmo quando ela se quebra de um jeito que nunca mais acontecerá novamente. Tudo isso se conecta quando um surfista pega uma onda e vibra coisas boas para o mundo.

As pessoas, os golfinhos, as baleias, as tartarugas, os peixes e outros animais marinhos são surfistas. Todos nós estamos surfando na onda da vida que veio do Oceano.

Estamos todos surfando na onda da vida que veio do Oceano. Pode ser que a Cultura do Oceano seja um reflexo do Espírito do Oceano.

Desde quando fomos integrados por 🙋‍♂ @luizhadad e @surflimpo no #SurfHive nessa onda da web3 ficamos muito felizes em contribuir com a Ocean Culture através do web3.
Pensando nisso, trabalhei em uma série de arte digital inspirada no oceano e nos perigos que ele enfrenta em plena década do oceano.
Este assunto é tão importante porque percebemos que o Oceano é grande, mas não é suficiente para a raça humana que continua extraindo e poluindo recursos naturais como se não houvesse amanhã.

A energia e os materiais que colocamos para causar impactos positivos ao meio ambiente são essenciais para esta década.

Precisamos fazer muito para reverter a mudança climática ou a poluição dos oceanos, por exemplo, cada atitude e ideia sustentável ainda é uma maneira muito poderosa de mudar o mundo para o bem. Nesse sentido, a descentralização de recursos e meios de mudança tem que ser mais incentivada e disseminada.

Como parte da comunidade #PreciousPlastic pensamos que a mentalidade de código aberto e a educação socioambiental são ferramentas nas quais podemos enfrentar com mais força a poluição plástica do oceano.

O upcycling é uma forma de abordar a economia circular e aproveitar os materiais que já estão disponíveis. Com a criatividade e algumas máquinas podemos transformar o lixo plástico em algo precioso para quem se preocupa com ele.
