I’ll admit it- I’m not the biggest sports fan. Football has so many random rules and it never made much sense to me. Around Saturday afternoon, I started catching the Super Bowl bug. Living in Philadelphia, excitement was everywhere. A bunch of friends and I gathered together to watch the game and it was probably one of the most fun experiences I’ve had in a long time.
The game itself was so entertaining and I’m not going to pretend to talk about specifics so let’s cut to the chase - things got rowdy! As soon as we (yes everyone in Philadelphia) won, we took to our main street, Broad Street, to watch the wild rumpus start.
Without further adieu: here are my pictures from the night.

My group of friends celebrating in front of City Hall
The city greased the light poles so that people wouldn’t climb them. Clearly didn’t work.
I’m going to interpret this photo as Tom Brady is a Trump supporter. Fuck Tom Brady and fuck Trump. This was a win for America. Just go with it, ok?
Fireworks were being set off in the street. It was exciting and terrifying, pretty much like the entire night.
Eagles fans waving the flag
We don’t have the best reputation and that’s ok. We’ve got a lot of heart.
Last night was a night I won’t forget. It’s so great seeing just about everyone elated. This feeling will continue here for the rest of the week and it’s awesome to be smack in the middle of it!
GO BIRDS! 🦅
Well done Eagles! Congrats on your first Super Bowl! It sounds like you had an awesome night celebrating the win @raelynnbianca
This is the good power of sport. Also, those Philly pretzels look delicious!
They really were! We had all Philadelphia themed foods; it was great!
