I thought We Could All Use a Little Sunshine
On SunThursday
So the price of Steem is a bit sad right now. Since I started on Steemit, I had gotten into the habit of taking half of my earnings out and powering up the other half. It was kind of funny that while Steem was going higher and higher, I was kicking myself for not powering it all up! Now of course I am kicking myself for not powering it all down!!!
I know it really makes it hard to want to get out and upvote as we see our vote become less and less. I guess we have to keep the faith the Steem will rise again.
I hope some of this sun has even in the smallest way brightened your day. Never forget, we are all in this together. I wanted to shout out @uwelang for having started SunThursday, but more importantly for being a great Steemer.

Well thats the spirit, Pryde. It never fails, when the coin is down, folks dont think it is worth their time. Then when it goes up, they come back and wonder why no one is voting for them lol. I was here at 7 cents and I was here at 7 bucks. Plus its not just a Steem thing. I am still enjoying sharing and interacting with great Steemers like you ;)
I am on Steemit for 297 days now. I joined on 2017 May 17.
So I was not here at 7 cents, but I also believe in this platform.

I think whether steem is up or down is all relative. Our voting power might be less but so are the rewards generally. So it works out. I think I might start going 100% on my posts.....for a while to build up my SP. It'll go up again....it's bc of the stuff going on in your country .... at least that's my story and I'm stuck with it :)

Yee haa on the roa0lly coaster. I've been trying to figure out my voting strattegy for a long time. It changes constantly, 0but0 (Stinky the Cat keeps typing for me here...I yi yiiii) Anyways, thanks for the sunny day. I'm just keepin keepin on here, and hoping things rise to the top like a fat frog in a deep weedpond. I think it will. The art of positive thought. I just use one main guiding idea to be honest...to have fun. I do enjoy my time here, and I think that means Im doing the best I can in my mind anyways.
I think that is the secret of Steemit. Just enjoy yourself, and do what makes you happy in writing, photos, and all. It can be too stressful to think all the time of what it all means, why things go to A rather than B, and all the drama going on. Because as a minner' , not much I can do anyway. So just go with the small-fish flow, and as you say, have fun. Great theory indeed. Have a nice night in the chill, mon.

With the price drop it does make me wonder if I should have but ohh well I always said I was here for the long run and didn’t plan to cash out till I became a dolphin so will stick the course and hope for some climbing in price soon

Wonderful images Paul, a sensation of hope in the air :-) I haven't been quite as regular with my uploads lately, but in honesty my life is changing quite a bit at the minute and so I may have to take small breaks. But I do intend to post as much and as often as possible :-)
I think as a new platform Steemit is still growing and much like with the weather lately, it's a back and forth of hot and cold; but hopefull it will level out soon.
Sure life continues to happen. Always do what is right for you. This is meant to be fun :)
Absolutely :-) Admittedly, it is very easy to lose sight of the fun and get too hung up on numbers and stats. I was like that with YouTube. In some ways I'm glad that YT took my monetisation away, because I'm back to making content that I like, rather than making stuff in hopes of attracting new subscribers; that I remembered why I started sort of thing :-)
There actually can be a happy medium here. I make what I like and dont actively chase votes. Yet I do enjoy supporting my friends like you :). Will be interesting to see how this all goes in a few years. Remember its still more than FB pays lol.
True... Facebook for me is starting to feel less and less relevant to my needs these days.
It looks very nice, a good walk with views, but I stay the sun, the money that they give him for sack, the important thing is to have fun and you have fun

All the photos in this one are stunning. I love the almost rainbow spectrum flaring from the sun in the final image. But, I absolutely adore the flaming colors you captured in that first shot on the page. Gotta tweet this one out!
BTW: It’s a relief to know the dropping value is site wide. I didn’t know that. I was thinking I was doing something wrong that was causing my value to drop.

Upped and Steemed
I think the currency reacts to the processes inside of Steemit, and we all know that the inner situation is now far from ideal.
We have a Trending page that does not reflect the opinion of the majority of the Steemians, we have a robber of the reward pool and big whales' war in which many minnows are also involved. We have a lot of paid and free voting bots, not concerned with the policy of quality. We have many users from poor countries who have never heard about the meaning of the word "copyright". And they spread their copy / paste here, because no one explains how they can earn honestly. Our curation rules are designed in such a way that it is more profitable to vote only for yourself than to support others...
It seems that all this does not matter if we consider these processes one at a time, but the whole picture of Steemit does not look very attractive. It remains only hope for the best and believe that this is temporary
