Sui has been one of the shining stars of 2024! The chain has grown in price and in activity as well. The SUI legacy is back in the days of Facebooks Libra experiment that has died.

Recently in March 2025 there was a hack on one of the apps of the chain and there was a drop in the overall activity and the price.
With this said, let’s take a look at some data.
Let’s take a look at the data on the Base network and see what has been happening in the last period.
The data presented here is mainly from base scan, DeFi Lama and Dune Analytics.
We will be looking at:
- Total Value Locked TVL
- Number of Addresses
- Active Addresses
- Daily Transactions
- Fees
- Price
Total Value Locked
This represents how much of value has been bridged to the Sui chain where it seats and is being used in DeFi and other use cases. Here is the chart:
As we can see, for the first time funds started being bridged on back in 2023. More significant funds started flowing at the end of 2023, reaching more than 500M at the beginning of 2024. Then it stayed around those levels and dipped a bit in the summer of 2024.
A real growth happened at the end of 2024 when there was almost an explosion in the TVL and reached 2B. In the first half of 2025 we have seen further growth in the TVL up to 2.5B in September 2025, but then a sharp drop after October and now it is around 1B in TVL.
Obviously the short squeeze that happened on October 10, 2025 in the crypto market has affected SUI a lot.
Number of Addresses
One of the key metrics for crypto projects is the number of wallets.
First the overall number of wallets.
A constant growth in the number of unique wallets, with more activities in the last period reaching 220M. We can see a real growth happening at the end of 2024 and in 2025 again.
For comparison Ethereum has close to 300M wallets.
Active Addresses
How many of the wallets created are active? Here is the chart.
This is a daily chart for the numbers of active wallets. As we can see there were spikes back in 2023 and then a massive spike in May 2024 reaching close to 3M DAUs.
In 2025 we can see a spike in April 2025 up to 3M wallets and a sharp drop after the summer of 2025 down to sub 500k DAUs.
Daily Transactions
The activity on the network is mostly represented by the number of daily transactions.
On the transactions side we can see a similar pattern as for the active wallets.
A massive spike towards the end of 2024 with more than 20M daily transactions. In the first half of 2025 this trend continued with transactions in the range of 20M to 30M. In the last period it dropped in the range of 10M to 15M, but still relatively high.
With these numbers Sui is in the top when it comes to number of transactions.
Another thing to mention here is that transactions can be bundled in blocks on the Sui chain, so there are also blocks of transactions that are recorded as one transaction on the chain.
Fees
Fees are low on the Sui chain.

Overall, the fees are bellow one cent and are almost meaningless. Even in the period when there are spikes in the activities, there is no increase in the fees. In the last period they have dropped.
Price
At the end the chart for the price of the SUI token.
A long period when the price was in the range of 0.5$ to 1.5$ and a growth at the end of 2024 reaching $5. A drop in the first half of 2025 with going down to 2$, but then a recovery up to 4$ in the summer and a sharp drop in the last months to 1.5 USD.
