Educate Yourself Everyday! Book suggestion needed.

As we grow old with time, don't you think your pool of knowledge must also grow or increase?

EDUCATE YOURSELF EVERYDAY

I really find this as almost necessary as breathing and eating. We might skip a day or two when it comes to educating ourselves, but it should not be left out all together.

I feel this helps in growing one's self. Learning new things, and keeping yourself updated with the world around is so necessary. You can do it through travelling, or reading or art or there are innumerous ways available whichever suits the person's interest best possible way.

Then there comes the role of BOOKS. Books are still the best source of knowledge. In the market of ebooks and smartphones, i tend to agree more that e-reads are easy sources of content but believe me BOOKS JUST HAVE SOME SORT OF THEIR OWN MAGIC.

PLUS NO HARM TO THE EYES. ✅✅✅✅✅✅

Although what kind of book to read is a big question depending on the interests.

But i want suggestions on which one should i start with?

Interest Field : utter positivity, just positive sort of reads.

Or may be if somebody can share their daily source of knowledge, be it a steemit user or a particular website?

What agreat post and statement, we do need to grow everyday mentally, to see and think on new things, add it to our library of knowledge and emotional possibility and exchange with others ! I agree wholeheartedly with that which you so clearly state here in your post @thatindianlady ))

I am going through "Four Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferris these days. The man is genius, he achieves in 1 week what might take others about 1 year.

If you are someone who wants to do multiple things in life you will definitely like this book.

multiple things in life, oh yes thats all i want :)

Thanks for the suggestion :)

Magic of thinking Big by David J. Schwartz will change your life :)

thanks for response, i will deifnitely consider it, googling right away :)

My pleasure :)

Check goodreads. There's plenty of recommendations for any genre.

thanks, checkig it out :)

Hey @thatindianlady!
Currently, I'm reading How To Develop A Super-Power Memory by Harry Lorayne.
The techniques mentioned definitely work and can help you remember so so many things! I'd recommend that. :)

Thankyou so much for the recommendation, i would surely take a sneak peek ;);)

No problem!

Try Shoe dog. An interesting read.

thanks for taking out time to suggest :)

A great man i know always say; "There is no gift of knowledge, only the discipline of study". Studying or better still, reading books that adds value is of utmost importance. A man would remain the same in five years except for two things; the books he read and the people he associates with. Knowledge is power.
NB: You sure know how to look incredibly beautiful my dear.

A man would remain the same in five years except for two things; the books he read and the people he associates with. Knowledge is power.

So right, i agree.

Whats the meaning of NB?

I am only saying you should take note. Drawing your attention to your beauty, which is totally unrelated to the post. covering my face

hehehe bcoz i like to give personalised touch to blogs now

Yaaaay! That's cool and impressive. You have my support.

I prefer ebooks over conventional books because they are easy to get hold of and also donot consume much space in my room. They are also green for the planet. Any how after the reading is done, the books are just paper weight unless you like reading the same thing again and again.

In fiction i have read all 4 parts of vampire diaries and all 7 parts of harry potter. It took almost 2 years to read the complete series of both.

In non fiction, i read about anything whenever i feel like reading. I mostly indulge myself in reading history. My main source from which i collect books is amazon kindle followed by google playstore. Amazon kindle has a lot of free ebooks that are worth reading. My quest for knowledge is always fulfilled just by reading the free ebooks.

True. Ebooks are easier to access too.
BTW I finished all 7 books of Harry Potter in less than 10 days :p

I wholeheartedly agree with you, but paper books are good for eyes, no harms.

On that i agree. The main advantage is that the size of text on the book makes it comfortable to read.

We are never to old to learn something new. Every day is an opportunity to turn everything around. The trick is to learn something new and uplifting everyday. A good place to start is with your motivation. What is it that you want to do? And more importantly...why?
Answer these two simple but important questions and you will unlock your immense power.

Beautiful comment.

Everyday is an opportunity to turn things around. What is it i want to do and why, yeah i need to bring more clarity over this. :)

Try “The undoing project “ by michael lewis the book has dazzling ideas and an absorbing read.

Thankyou for your suggestion :)

Yes very very true. Everyone should not stop learning. Even how knowledgeable a person is, there is still more space for improvement and learning new things. That is why when we commit mistake, then we need to learn from it. All walks of life should take it as everyday is a learning process. Thanks for sharing this insight. Greatly appreciated!

yeah right my friend, pleasure :)
