Hi Steemians,
So, Today I’m gonna talk about success!
Do we really need to be hard working to succeed in life??? According to me, Answer for this is a BIG!! BIG!! BIG!! NOooooo
Whole life success requires that you work intelligently.
Sure, the hustle and grind lifestyle will make you a lot of money. But there’s more to life than fast cars, big houses, and overpriced watches.
So how can you actually implement this concept to lead a more successful life?
I don’t have all of the answers, but after overcoming debilitating depression (born from workaholism), shifting my focus to my lifestyle, and making more money as a result, I have a few pointers that will help you along the way.
- Health > Everything Else
Without your health, you are not successful. Period.
There is no way around this.
You can have billions in the bank, dozens of models trying to jump your bones, and worldwide fame and renown.
But if you don’t have the energy and health to enjoy it, it doesn’t matter.
If you want to create whole life success and experience lasting happiness, then you should follow the below guidelines to a ‘t’.
• Sleep 8 hours a night (10 is not too many if you exercise regularly)
• Lift weights 3x a week
• Do cardio that gets your heart pumping or 20-minutes 4 days a week
• Eat a whole food diet with the occasional cheat meal
• Slow down, relax more frequently, and live a simpler life
• Meditate every day
• Spend time in nature on a regular basis
• Do things you love
That’s it.
If you will commit to those things, you will have a happier life and you will have the energy and motivation you need to succeed at the highest levels in your business. - Relationships > Business
The second rule you must follow for whole life success is that relationships come before business.
You will not sit on your death bed thinking, “Damn, if only I’d worked 14 hours a day instead of 8 maybe I would have been able to buy that private jet like [insert favorite IG influencer].”
No…
You’ll think about the people with whom you shared your life. Your friends, your family, your lovers. The PEOPLE in your life are what matter most.
There’s no point in having millions of dollars and business success if you have no one with whom to share it.
So put your relationships first.
Connect with your friends every week. Take your spouse on a date night. Play with your kids.
Put the damn laptop away and focus on what really matters.
We are hustle and grinding our way to an early and lonely grave. Yet people continue to treat financial success as the end all be all of life.
Fuck that.
There’s more to life than the money in your bank account.
Prioritize time with the people you love and I promise, you’ll die with fewer regrets than the billionaires who never saw their kids. - Embrace Minimalism
Finally, if you want to have whole life success… STOP buying so much crap.
We know that buying ‘things’ doesn’t make people happy.
Experiences and relationships do.
If you’re willing to live with less, you can retire in the next 10 years (just check out Mr. Money Mustache to see what I mean).
You can wake up when you want and spend your days how you want.
Sure, you won’t have the latest Mercedes and you won’t live in the biggest house in the neighborhood.
But you’ll have freedom. You’ll have leisure. You’ll have the ability to work because you want to, not because you have to. You’ll be able to pursue your highest passions and go after the things you want without any boss or client holding you back.
I don’t know about you, but a simple life of freedom sure beats the hell out of a flashy life of wage slavery.
But that’s just my $0.02.
Only you can decide what success means to you.
Hope this helps.
