RE: Will monetary reward destroy genuine interactions in steemit?

in #success7 years ago (edited)

@charles1 I agree with your points, but Steem is not only Steemit and we can use the Steem blockchain to make things that will not fall into the monetary issues you explained. This is what I did with Utopian.io.

Utopian.io rewards Open Source Contributors via Steem

In Utopian voting actually means supporting contributions to Open Source projects, like Steem is, thus making the monetary implication a reward for a real effort, from which the entire community benefits immediately ;) Read more about Utopian here: https://steemit.com/steemit/@elear/utopian-already-rewarding-early-adopters

Great, you are doing well with utopian indeed ...is it like using Steem SMT ? I upvoted the post...good one indeed

Hello @charles1. SMT are not yet available in Steem. Utopian is using the existing Steem functionalities to allow contributors earning rewards. Utopian is based on Steem and uses Steem for every operation. It is just a different frontend with a different purpose :)

Hahaha I know that SMT is not yet avialable and guess that it will be functional by next year. I am impressed on Utopian and wish you success.
