My Sublime Sunday post was taken at the Montague Summer Days yesterday. It entailed a parade, animals, strawberry shortcake, music and lots of walking.
First a photo of some of the boats docked at the Montague harbor for #beautifulsunday hosted by @ace108.
Lots of happy dogs with their owners taking in the festivities on the waterfront.
These two beauties posed nicely for me.
This dog may look like he would like to bite me but was just getting his breath.
Dog sitting on boat, listening to the music played at the pavilion. Boat owners docked their boats and sat on the decks. They could hear the music and singers from the water.
Lots of dog and feet photos. This dog and his owner were walking across the bridge to the festivities on the waterfront.
Dog’s view in the crowd is more legs.
The little white dogs seem to be a popular breed.
Children were having fun watching the parade. The fire truck was part of the parade.
My favorite part of the parade is the animals and the pipeband. This year there wasn’t the pipe band and the bagpipes.
Old vehicle at the parade.
Must have a lobster boat in a parade on P.E.I.
Back of the lobster boat. T-shirts have “Shut Up and Fish’ on the back.
After the parade people flocked to the waterfront for a free hotdog and bottle of water courtesy of the Rotary Club in Montague.
A fun free day for families with children. So much to do and see to keep the children entertained.
Cooking the hot dogs.
Part of the waterfront with boats docked close by.
Hubs took this photo of me by the anchor at the museum that was once a post office. The parade passed by the Garden of the Fulf Museum. The building behind me is the Copper Bottom brewery.
Hubs acting out with his head in this structure by the museum. The Montague Post office used to be in the museum building.
After the parade we had a hotdog and strawberry shortcake at the waterfront. Then came home and went back later in the evening to hear some singers and music at the open pavilion. Good planning to seat a lot of people. It reminds me of a Roman theatre with the circular seating. We just need a gladiator and a lion or two.:)
One of the singers (Hal Bruce from Nova Scotia) at the pavilion. He sang a lot of Beatle’s music and had performed in Liverpool, England.
I think I will rest today. Have a great Sunday!

A gladiator and a lion or two? What about the Christians? ;-)
Your photos of boats drew me in--I'm a sucker for boats. Love the dogs too.
Thanks Todd. I think the Christians had already been eaten. 😂 Happy you liked the boats and dogs.
Have a great week!

Woof! Lot’s of four legged friends in this post - i bet @saffisara would have loved taking Bobby to visit.
It’s a fabulous parade, with so many different types of vehicles. And a fun free day out for families too - awesome stuff. So how far did you drag that anchor?
