I believe in the power of the subconscious mind. I believe so, because I have seen results. I believe in it because I understand how it works. I don't always apply it to my own life but it works. When I don't apply it to my life, I can feel how lost I am.
The thing about working with your subconscious mind, is that you have to do it constantly. Beyond that, you have to be able to visualize what you are wishing for. I am in luck, because I am a visual person and if I close my eyes, I can easily see my self in the situation I desire. That is not to say that it is easy for me to obtain what I want, it comes easy to me to visualize what I want because I am visual person.
Sometimes it takes longer to get what you visualized. Sometimes it takes less. Nonetheless I choose to keep at it.
The other day I watched a video, which spoke to me beyond the words and made me understand something I hadn't before. He was talking about the new neuropath ways that you can create in your brain and how to do so. Breaking your routine is hard. Think about a field wild flowers. It's pristine, untouched. There is no disturbance in the field, no paths at first. If you keep walking on the same path over and over again, eventually you will have a new path. Same with your brain and new neuropaths. You will create new paths in your brain and that is good for you. So while I was listening to him, his words made so much sense. Everything starts from within you. Happiness is not outside you but within you. He was saying how the pattern you are used to, can be broken. And when you first start to work on yourself, and are sitting and meditating, the reason you close your eyes is because you reduce the intake of most stimuli that the brain has to process. So when you close your eyes, you can focus on your breathing, you can create new paths in your brain. By meditating, even for a few minutes, you are now able to look inside and work on you there.
I tried it today. For five minutes. Every time my thoughts were wondering, I came back to that moment in time in place and focused on that moment. I said to my self , what I saw in the video. "Normally at this hour I would be stuck in traffic, on my way to work, but now I am here."
Focusing on the now moment, allows me to break my pattern. And that's how you create new neuropaths. By doing something you normally don't do. Breaking your routine and the path you always choose, the discomfort is not easy. If you keep at it, you will soon have results.
I am attaching the link to the video. I hope it helps you as much as it helps me.
Namaste,
Dee
